BIEE is seeking an experienced ‘all-rounder’ to coordinate its events and membership programmes and provide general administrative support.If you know someone who might be interested in the role please forward the details to them.
The successful applicant will act as the operational ‘hub’ for BIEE’s activities and have a varied role involving, events management, membership development, financial administration, and communications.
Based at home, an ability to work independently is key – you will be well organised, with experience of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as handling multiple and varied priorities. You will be someone who can drive projects forward, and work to tight and frequently changing deadlines, without compromising quality. Good IT skills are essential, as is experience of organising events from conception to completion at a high standard of delivery.
You will also need the flexibility to travel to London, Oxford, and other locations on an occasional basis, to run events at the chosen venue (on average 6 times a year).

Additional support is available to help with conferences, membership administration and website content management.
The work is home-based, and hours are flexible. Working hours can vary, for example in the run up to a major conference, where hours can exceed the contracted 100 per month. In such a situation overtime is payable based on number of hours worked.
The current administrator is self-employed and works for BIEE as an independent contractor, but other working arrangements could be considered.
We are open to job sharing, and to looking at ways in which the role could be split. Those interested in a job share should indicate which aspects of the role they would be interested in taking on, as well as the amount of time they would have available to commit to the role.
